New Digikit Today

A gorgeous day today! The sun is shining in the blue skies as a cool breeze blows in the wind! A great day to be outside enjoying the sights and sounds of Nature! It is such a nice day that I went outside to enjoy it for a bit but then had to come back inside to get back to work. Hmm, I think maybe I should have took the computer outside to work? LOL!

Anyway, I managed to create a Brand New Digikit today in which I titled " In Loving Memory." A beautiful kit and i even created a few coordinated papers to go along with the Kit!! Have fun, and i can't wait to see what you create with the contents of this Digikit! :-) You can download the Kit by clicking the title.

On to other news, The Media is still talking about the damage that Hurricane Irene caused the pass couple of days. A lot of destruction and it will cost a lot of money to rebuild.
Anyway, I hate to talk about negative news on such a beautiful day..and speaking of which, I think I'll head outside to enjoy the sunshine!! Adios my friends and enjoy the rest of the day wherever you may live!!

Hurricane Irene strikes East Coast

A dark, dreary day this weekend as the rain begins to fall non-stop from the Heavens and the winds pick up in anticipation of Hurricane Irene!

The Hurricane expected to hit the East Coast, hitting hardest on North Carolina's beaches, and making its ' way up the East coast including Maine will feel the remnants of this Hurricane!

New York has closed its Subway sytstem because of the storm as reported in this article published in the Naples Online edition.

A great day to stay indoors to have a cup of Tea, eat cookies and watch movies. Or, A nice day to catch up on some sleep!
I almost ended up sleeping for the entire day but I decided to get up and do some errands around the house before the storm arrives later this evening. Plus, I don't think I could stay in the bed with all this excitement a buzz!! I need to be where the action is happening, and I kind of wish I was in North Carolina right now experiencing the high winds, Rains and the effects of Hurricane Irene!!
Here is a link on how to prepare for Hurricane Irene and what to have...Also, Hurricane Irene moves into the DC area, according to an article in the Washington Post.

But as a quote once said, This too shall pass and the world will be back to "normal" after the storm!
An article headline from the USA Today says it the best as it reads Hurricane Irene 'large and dangerous,' claims lives in N.C.

Earthquake Rocks East Coast

It was a glorious day outside with the sun shining in the blue skies as a cool breeze blew in the wind. A great day to be outdoors admiring the sights and sounds of Nature!
But if you were outdoors, One could feel the Earth shake, houses rattle and a rumble under their feet. The East Coast experienced a 5.8 magnitude Earthqueak today in which the epicenter was reported to be in Mineral, Va. close to Richmond.

And, Washington, DC experienced the major earthquake as reported in the Washington Post Online newspaper.

Fema: Federal Emergency Management Agency posted tips on what to expect after the Earthquake in the Online Edition of the Washington Post.

It was an exciting day on the East Coast..and i experienced an event that I don't ever want too have to experience again!! Although, It was exciting at first...I was laying in bed when the Earthquake stuck and didn't know what was happening! It was like a scene out of a Poltergeist Film where the bed was shaking, the house rattled just as the spirits emerged to haunt the house. I was thinking maybe the Dead have Risen and were coming to collect on the Living. I started praying a few Hail Mary's before jumping out of the bed to grab the cellphone to check the Facebook page...and that is when I found out it was an Earthquake that rocked the East Coast! I thought the End of the World was near, or the Apocalypse was coming true! Anyway, I am glad that today has come to an end without any fatal casualties from the natural disaster. Tomorrow will bring new and exciting events...as well as, new promises!

And, onto other news, I managed to take a photo of a Pink Grasshopper!! I have never seen one before and thought it quite odd...From Albino Buffalo to Two Headed Calves and now a Pink Grasshopper to add to Nature's Oddities!!

I read a comment on someone's Facebook wall, that read " Ok. lets see. Earthquake today, Hurricane Sunday...time to buy the bug spray for the locusts." Hmm, Maybe the End of the World is closer than what we think?

Gorgeous Summer Day

A gorgeous Summer Day! The sun is shining in the blue skies as a cool breeze blows in the wind. A wonderful day to be outside enjoying the sights and sounds of Nature!
And, I managed to enjoy a bit of nature when I took the dog out for the walk. The fresh air felt good against my skin and the sunshine felt warm and refreshing! After the walk, i did some running around to take care of errands during the day, and then came back home. I watched a little television then logged onto the computer to search for Digikits...and I found a couple of nice Freebies too!

But it is too glorious of a day to be stuck indoors..So, I logged off the computer and headed back outside to take a walk and just relieve my mind of any stress or pressure. It felt so good to just get outside and feel the sun's rays against my skin and the fresh air! Sometimes it is the little things in life we appreciate!!

Adios for now, I have to go back outside before the sun sets and moon appears...

Humid Air blows in the wind

Another day of Hot and Humid air!! The sun is blazing down in the blue skies. When will relief come in the way of cooler air?
Today is an uneventful day...Nothing exciting really happened in my life. But then again, I guess to someone else it may be exciting! i did a little shopping, went for a walk at the Park in Columbia and washed the car. I think I will take a nap because for some reason I am feeling very sleepy.

Oh, I am so happy they finally captured the three siblings-Dougherty Gang- who went on a shooting spree..They captured them in Colorado and they lived in Florida!

And, The Memorial where the 9/11 flight crashed in Pennsylvania needs more funding to complete the project. This will be a beautiful Memorial once it is completed and I will definitely be visiting this site!

And, I found another article quite interesting..Paying for items using your cellphone! I can't wait for this to happen because I can leave the wallet home and just carry my cellphone to the store to make a purchase-Woo, Hoo for Technology!! I can't wait for Mobile Payments!!

Life is A Gift

There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind.
She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She told her boyfriend, "If I could only see the world, I would marry you."
One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend.
He asked her, "Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?" The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn't expected that. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him.
Her boyfriend left her in tears and days later wrote a note to her saying: "Take good care of your eyes, my dear, for before they were yours, they were mine."

Life Is a Gift
Today before you say an unkind word - Think of someone who can't speak.
Before you complain about your husband or wife - Think of someone who's crying out to GOD for a companion.
Today before you complain about life - Think of someone who died too early.
Before you complain about your children - Think of someone who desires children but they're barren.
Before whining about the distance you drive - Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.
And when you are tired and complain about your job - Think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job.
But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another - Remember that not one of us is without sin and we all answer to one MAKER.
And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down - Put a smile on your face and thank GOD you're alive and still around.

Rain, Rain and Thunderstorms

Well, The Sun is playing Hide 'N Seek behind the clouds as a cool breeze provides some relief from the Heat and humidity! it looks as though it may rain at any moment or maybe a Thunderstorm may occur during the evening hours?

Today has been kind of a lazy, hazy day. I felt like just laying in the bed but I had to get up to go to work-Unfortunately! But I should be happy that I have a job considering the economic outlook for the United States. According to a USA Today article, Unemployment is up in most U.S. Cities!

And, It looks like more trouble for Facebook! Germany is investigating Facebook's tagging feature in which he " warned could violate European privacy laws." in a NY Times article.
And, Baltimore's Restaurant Week starts soon! Have you checked out the article in the Examiner.com for more information and to find out which Restaurants are participating. Speaking of Restaurants, I wrote an article on the Grand Opening of the Tokyo Sushi Buffet located in Security Square Mall. Check it out because they have delicious entrees cooked up for you!!

Well, It is time for me to go. i have to run some errands before the Rainstorm blows thru here and causes havoc. And remember, " Time is the soul of business."

Well, I

Lessons in Life

Lessons on Life

There was a man who had four sons. He wanted his sons to learn not to judge things too quickly. So he sent them each on a quest, in turn, to go and look at a pear tree that was a great distance away.

The first son went in the winter, the second in the spring, the third in

Summer and the youngest son in the fall.

When they had all gone and come back, he called them together to describe what they had seen.

The first son said that the tree was ugly, bent, and twisted.

The second son said no it was covered with green buds and full of promise.

The third son disagreed; he said it was laden with blossoms that smelled so sweet and looked so beautiful, it was the most graceful thing he had ever seen.

The last son disagreed with all of them; he said it was ripe and drooping with fruit, full of life and fulfillment.

The man then explained to his sons that they were all right, because they had each seen but only one season in the tree's life.

He told them that you cannot judge a tree, or a person, by only one season, and that the essence of who they are and the pleasure, joy, and love that come from that life can only be measured at the end, when all the seasons are up.

If you give up when it's winter, you will miss the promise of your spring, the beauty of your summer, fulfillment of your fall.

Moral:

Don't let the pain of one season destroy the joy of all the rest.

Don't judge life by one difficult season.

Persevere through the difficult patches and better times are sure to come some time or

Later.

Like an apple tree among the trees of the forest, so is my dearest compared to other men. I love to sit in its shadow, and its fruit is sweet to my taste."
