Humpity Hump Kind of Day

Happy Hump Day!! I hope all are having a wonderful day thus far and paying it forward to everyone you meet today. I know I am.   It's almost the weekend and I have no plans but my schedule is like the wind and can blow in any direction. 

In the news: Trump/Pence are still in office. And, I am just counting down the days until we VOTE 'EM OUT!!

RIP Toni Morrison, Author

Hidey Hoo and I hope all had a great day today?! I had a relaxing day but productive one. And, I read some sad news earlier on social media regarding the passing of a Literary Icon, Toni Morrison.  I can't believe she passed away but her many books will be her legacy. 

And, Trump/Pence are still in the White House! This is one election I wish would hurry and get here cause I want both of these Fools Gone!!  But there is a reason why things are the way they are and only time will reveal the meaning. 

Here's a lil bit of the news story of Toni Morrison from the NY Times. 

Toni Morrison, the 1993 Nobel laureate in literature, whose work explored black identity in America and in particular the experience of black women, died on Monday in the Bronx. She was 88.

Her death, at Montefiore Medical Center, was announced by her publisher, Alfred A. Knopf. A spokeswoman said the cause was complications of pneumonia. Ms. Morrison lived in Grand View-on-Hudson, N.Y.

The first African-American woman to win the Nobel Prize in Literature, Ms. Morrison was the author of 11 novels as well as children’s books and essay collections. Among them were celebrated works like “Song of Solomon,” which received the National Book Critics Circle Award in 1977, and “Beloved,” which won the Pulitzer Prize in 1988.
