The Blizzard of 2013

Hello and I hope all are having a wonderful Saturday or day wherever you may live in this world...I know i am and I am happy we didn't that Blizzard the weather forecasters were predicting for much of the East coast.  New York and Boston were the hardest hit with the snowstorm of 2013!! And, sad news to report regarding a young teenage girl who was tragically killed in Chicago...First Lady Michelle Obama attended the funeral services of the teenage girl who participated in President Obama's Inauguration and was gunned down by Gang members. A sad story and a reminder that the violence needs to stop!! You can check out the article here on the USA Today online edition.
 My Prayers go out to the girl's family in this time of sorrow...

But the major news for today is this snowstorm that crippled the East coast and closed everything for the day. They are calling it the storm of the Century!!  You can read more, here in Washington Post Online Newspaper

 This snow storm is really a mess and i am glad DC didn't get hit with this storm although we did get remnants of the storm, such as fierce strong winds that blew last night and into the morning hours!! The winds alone were terrifying and at what point, I thought i was going to lose Electricity but luckily we didn't lose power, Thank Goodness!! I don't know what i would have done if I couldn't log onto the Internet, HeHe
