Tuesday before Christmas

Happy Tuesday and I hope all are having a Fab-Tastic Day!! 

I know I am although it is a bit cold and I still see leftover snow from the snow storm we had a couple of days ago....Oh, How I am dreaming of Spring Temps and flowers!! But then again, The Winter can be beautiful as well. Beauty is all around us we just have to recognize and appreciate it.

I managed to get a lot accomplished today and do some running around taking care of errands. And, I had to get a little creative today. You can see the art pages above and below this post. A day without creating is a day wasted so let's get creative People!! 

I don't feel like writing too much so I will say have a Blessed Day and be kind to all that you meet.

Friday the 13th

Well, We made it to another Friday and it's the 13th of the month too!! I hope you don't believe in superstition but if you do.....Be Very Afraid of things that go bump in the night!! 

On that note, I felt like just staying in the bed since this is considered Bad Luck Day but I had to get up to take care of some errands, such as go to the market; to the Post Office; then a few personal errands before coming back home to get creative. And, I did a little housework as well getting things tidy for the weekend.

Nothing to talk about in the news, or rather, nothing I care to talk about or write.

Happy Tuesday and I hope all are having a wonderful day. I know I am having a Great Day and the snow fell this morning making it look like a Winter Wonderland!! It looks really pretty outside too...

I have sad news to report...Nelson Mandela, the former South African President, has passed away and his Memorial was held today. All of the Dignitaries including President Obama were in attendance. You can read the article in the NY Times Online edition. 

“To the people of South Africa — people of every race and every walk of life — the world thanks you for sharing Nelson Mandela with us,” President Obama said. “His struggle was your struggle. His triumph was your triumph. Your dignity and hope found expression in his life, and your freedom, your democracy, is his cherished legacy.”

and the Historic handshake that rocked the nation was made at the Mandela Memorial between President Obama and Cuba's Raul Castro.  You can check out the USA Today Online article here.

Wow, Today was about a lot of major news....now if i can only get thru this Winter cause I am already dreaming of Spring and warmer temps, Hehe!!

Sabado Bliss

Hidey Hoo and I hope all are having a wonderful Saturday thus far...I know I had a wonderful relaxing day today. Although, I wish I had something to do cause I hate sitting around the house, hehe!!
 But anyway, I did get out of the house to take a scenic drive and admire the beauty of this world. And, I had to stop at the market to purchase a few things.  I don't understand why I can't just walk into a store without purchasing anything-I always have to purchase something whenever I enter a store?! Oh well, I guess it's not a bad thing, Hehe.

I am not gonna write too much today cause it is the weekend and I don't feel like writing on the blog. So, Have a Blessed Day and enjoy one more day of the weekend.

A Rainy Friday

Happy Friday and I hope all are enjoying the day! It is a cloudy, rainy day today here in the Md/DC area..the perfect day to just lie in the bed to sleep. But I had to get up to take care of some errands and drop off a few things at various places. 

I am still heartbroken over the fact that Nelson Mandela has passed away at the age of 95!! The World has lost a true Icon and Hero!! 

I read an interesting quote in the New York Times Online edition newspaper. A man cut the tallest sunflower in his garden to remember the former South African President. 

“A special flower for a special man,” said Mr. Rosen, a 40-year-old urban farmer, as he wired the towering, six-foot stalk to the fence surrounding the spontaneous memorial that has sprung up just outside the home where Mr. Mandela died Thursday night. “I chose this flower because he towered over us all,” Mr. Rosen said. “Today it feels like the world got a little bit smaller.”

It seems as though the whole world is mourning the death of Nelson Mandela....He truly was the greatest man who lived on this Earth and his legacy will be remembered for a long time!! 

In other news, well no other news cause the biggest news is the passing of Nelson Mandela!!

Thirsty Thursday

Hidey Hoo and I hope all are having a wonderful Thursday thus far....and just think one more day until the weekend!!! I have no plans this weekend but my schedule is like the wind and can blow in any direction. 

Nothing to talk about as for as news is concerned. And, nothing new to talk about in my personal life cause I'm just trying to survive in this life.

I have just learned that a Great and Inspiring Man has passed away...RIP Nelson Mandela and here is a quote from President Barack Obama that sums it up best: 

 "Let us pause and give thanks for the fact that Nelson Mandela lived—a man who took history in his hands and bent the arc of the moral universe toward justice." —President Obama

Also, I managed to do some running around taking care of errands and doing some shopping-Christmas shopping- and just think soon it will be Christmas Time!! I can't believe we are in the holiday season already...and soon it will be 2014!!

Monday Happiness

Hello and I hope all had a Fantastic Monday and ready to jump into Tuesday!!
 I had a Fab-tastic day today and managed to get a lot of errands done and do some running around dropping off things here and there and where ever.

And, I even had time to have lunch with a good friend and chat about old times. It is nice to travel down memory lane once in awhile and remember things from years past. Ahh, The good 'ole days!!!

Anyway, I will keep this short since I don't feel like writing too much and I have to do some more shopping.
