Charm City charges Officers
Hidey Hoo, and I hope all are having a Great Day thus far?! Well, It seems as though it is a good day for the Freddy Gray family and the citizens of Baltimore! The State's Attorney has charged the 6 Officers with Murder, and she read the charges on LIVE Television!! You can check out the NYTimes and Washington Post articles. A snippet of the NY Times article:
" Baltimore’s chief prosecutor charged six police officers on Friday with crimes including murder and manslaughter in the arrest and fatal injury of Freddie Gray, a striking and surprisingly swift turn in a case that has drawn national attention to police conduct.
The state’s attorney for Baltimore, Marilyn J. Mosby, filed the charges almost as soon as she received a medical examiner’s report that ruled Mr. Gray’s death a homicide, and a day after the police concluded their initial investigation and handed over their findings. Officials had cautioned that it could take considerable time for her office to complete its own investigation and decide whether to prosecute."
Well, it's good they charged the officers and now we wait until the Trial. It is sad that the citizens of Baltimore had to loot and destroy the city in order to get attention...I suggest NOW they come together to repair and return the merchandise to the stores and business' they looted.
If you'd like to know more about the Baltimore State's Attorney, Marilyn Mosby, check out the NY Times article. or check out the Washington Post article
I can't wait to see what the Trial will say of these Officers...what they did was wrong but maybe they were doing their job, and it was a rush to convict these Officers with the State's Attorney office. Well, We will see what happens as the days move further toward the trial.
In other news, Al Sharpton and Malik Shabazz are expected to protest on Baltimore streets this weekend. This will bring about more uneasiness and tensions cause Al Sharpton is a controversial figure!! We will see what happens cause the drama ain't over yet!!
Well, I gotta go and take care of some business . Have a Great day and Be kind to everyone who you meet.

Rioting in Baltimore
Hidey Hoo and I hope all are having a Great Day thus Far?!
I know I am even though we are in the midst of rioting and looting in Maryland, the Baltimore area precisely. If you'd like to read more, check out the article in the USA Today Online newspaper.
A snippet of the USA Today article here
"The governor and mayor promised increased security. The baseball team canceled Tuesday's game and announced it will play Wednesday in an empty stadium. And President Obama promised a thorough investigation into the death in police custody of Freddie Gray.
Schools were closed, the National Guard was on the streets and wreckage was everywhere. Across from a burned and looted CVS, tensions began to rise again Tuesday afternoon.
Several people threw water bottles at police officers who stood in riot gear. At times protesters argued among themselves, some pleading for a peaceful event and others arguing that the police officers needed to feel the pain they have inflicted on the community."
What a day makes when it comes to the chaos of yesterday to the beautiful weather of today. The sun is shining as a cool breeze blows in the wind. A great day to be outdoors enjoying nature. I just pray that the protests don't start up tonight and cause more damages to the City of Baltimore!! Pray for Baltimore!!
As for me, I decided to take the day off cause of all the chaos in the city and to watch and read the news regarding this protest happening in Baltimore. I'm just glad I didn't hear of anyone getting killed only minor injuries that required quick stays in the hospital.
Well, I gotta go and take care of some more business. Have a Blessed Day!!
